gm v6 boost...

I have a friend who is intrested in boostin his v6...but how much boost can he run (daily driver) at a c/r of 7:1? (low :) ) some people have said around 15...but i was thinking it would be closer to 20 on account of the low c/r..... it will have a water/air intercooler (no way to really have a air/air in a fiero)...any suggestions?

this is a feiro i assume? well 7:1 compression is really low so i mean i can see 15-20psi safely. i dont know the strength of fiero engines under boost. ask fiero_god or whatever his name is ;)

well well a fellow fiero whats up.The fiero engines are ok the main thing you have to worry about are the damn rods ,they are crap. Im going to run around 9 - 12 psi at first and test and tune from there as far as for my c/r its 8.1. But 15-20 psi sounds reasonable.

well the 3.1 one we r using has forged rods and lathe turned pistons. and will a afc work on this setup or will i have to stick with a fmu

personally im staying with a fmu for my fuel setup as for what you got i would say you are good to go ;) i would do some more homework just to be sure and be safe.
