GM TBI Before Intercooler

Hello,
This is my first post, so please be patient. I signed up after many hours of research trying to figure out if you can inject fuel before an intercooler and I'm hoping some folks may have some experience in the area. I'm not new to boost, having built a 2.2 Kubota in my '99 Wrangler, and a supercharged 5.5 V8 in my car.

The vehicle is a 1960 International 4x4 pickup with a 240CI inline 6 with 7.5:1 compression and a screaming 3300RPM redline. I'm going to fabricate an intake for the TBI off of a GM 4.3 V6, and will be running about 9.5PSI of boost maximum.

I'm planning on running a water to air intercooler, and would love to build the core into the manifold, but I'm not sure if there would be issues with the fuel condensing when hitting the cooler or anything like that. I've ran alcohol/meth and there are some benefits to injecting before the IC. I could see gasoline having similar benefits assisting to cool the charge if it still fuels correctly.

I would just use port fuel injection, but it's supposed to be problematic with i6s that have siamesed ports because the cylinders sharing the ports don't have the same amount of time between firing.

EG. firing order: 1-5-3-6-2-4 - 1 & 2 share a port, and there are 3 cylinders fired between 2 & 1, but only 1 fires between 1 & 2, which apparently causes fueling problems.

I would really like to hear from anyone who may have experience with this, but theoretical discussion is welcome as well.

Thanks,
James

Air to air plumbed in front, air to water in the valley... 2 different things. You'll have enough heat to atomize. Putting an ata intercooler on an 80uh...2? Lebaron wasnt the thing to do at ALL. Your way sounds awesome to me, but hey. This is my first post lol

I would run the TBI directly off of the intake manifold where the carb used to be, this way you could run any kind of intercooler you can find, as the fuel is being injected after the cooler.
