Default Gettin CEL code with obd1 conversion

do i put power to D4 or ground it out? when i jumper the stock crx connector under the hood the cel just stays on. i also tried grounding it to no avail. dont want to put power to it and burn it up though. any help is much appreciated.

i was driving and all of a sudden i heard the main relay start clicking crazy like and the engine started sputtering from bein real rich and died and wouldnt start. now i got it started after cleaning the plugs and lowering the fuel pressure. it runs realy realy rich out of nowhere and i cant read the code. now the car wont even start anymore. wth could make it stupid rich all of a sudden? like so rich it doesnt barly run and wont rev past 4k. seems like a 4k rev limit cuz it pulls once the turbo spools but stops at 4k.

D.I.Y. / FAQ - OBD-0 --> OBD-1 Pinouts and Conversion Help - Honda-Tech have fun man. This gives u the wire to wire pin out. according to ---- u should wire it to b20 on the ECU... which would explain the CEL since u just have it hanging out randomly wiring it to ----. This ECU is chipped right?!? if not it goes into limp mode for reading positive pressure.

- SOLVED -

If anyone gets a soild CEL with a check engine light, chances are your pos zif socket (maby i got a bad one, got it from xenocron) take the chip out and plug it direct into your ecu, i did and my car runs beautiful again.

Do these zif sockets fail often? never heard much about them failing but mine did, i also believe it was what was causing all my idle problems as it doesnt cut off and jump up randomly anymore.
