Re: gasket material
Autozone used to sell the silvery looking ---- in sheets that you could cut out of. Another option...old pop can

Re: gasket material
www.ATPturbo.com is where I got my mani --> turbo gasket. You can cop them off eGay too. I got mine on ATP (recommended to me by Jay, thank you sir ;) ) for like $9 shipped I think. Make sure to call though, because that way you get shipping for like $.50. Ummmm, DON'T use Mr.Gasket. Too hot and will dry up and blow out. Trust me. We did it. :-X LOL. ;) ;D

Re: gasket material
just ask napa for high temp gasket material. they should know what you are talkin about. it has a metal core. I dont use gaskets on my setup. no leaks. I only had leaks when I used them.
I also read that you can put grease on the surfaces and it will bake into a seal. |

When it is heated, the grease will burn off and leave a layer of carbon that seals the area really well. Three turbos installed this way and not one leak to date. |
Re: gasket material
I bought metal gaskets off ebay for the head to manifold. Honda for manifold to adapter plate (HF). Ebay for adapter plate to turbo. I don't have a gasket for the downpipe and if you tighten it the right way, it doesn't leak noticeably. I think I'm gonna try the grease thing... That sounds pretty cool if it works. ;D
Anything on the compressor side, I've used gasket sealer or the paper/cardboard crap you can buy at Autozone. Doesn't seem to get hot enough to burn any of it up. |

Re: gasket material
Could also try sheet-steel in thin gauge sizes from home depot. I tried that multi-layer lead coated ----, and it lasted about 20 minutes before it burned right out. Best thing to use is usually some type of metal gasket, be it copper or steel.
