Fuel Rail... how much PSI?

up to how much PSI can you pump fuel on the fuel rail on 450cc blue tops DSM???
iam pushing them up to 75psi isnt that too much??
with stock ignition it feels like misfiring..
Anyone know what to do?

Why are you that high with fuel pressure? Need a little more info on the setup and the problem

Re:Fuel Rail... how much PSI?

the stock psi is more that sufficent, considering that you injectors flow almost double your stock 240ccs.

such a high psi is a bad thing.

to answer your question the honda fuel rail is sufficient and test up to 450whp with no problems, unless your making that much power i would leave it alone, unless your into looks.

Re:Fuel Rail... how much PSI?

can 450s suply enough fuel for that kind of boost? on a b16 i think they are maxed out at like 15. not 100% shure tho

i thought that a stock honda FPR had a 1:1 ratio, so if manifold pressure rises fuel pressure will go up with it. ie, stock pressure is 36psi, add 10 psi of boost, and now your fuel pressure is 46 psi.

Re:Fuel Rail... how much PSI?

i thought the stock fpr only worked as a on/off function.

off-- less gas at idle(when the fpr sees vacuum), on--- more gas while driving (when the fpr doesnt see vacuum)

im not sure, correct if wrong.

Re:Fuel Rail... how much PSI?

If I remember correctly STOCK b16 fuel rail pressure is about 42 psi or so. I'm assuming the other B series are right around that as well.

And yes the 450cc maxes around 12psi of boost, but I guess it also depends on what turbo you are using. If you have it tuned and it works at 18-20psi then its cool, otherwise you might wanna go up to 550cc's injectors or even higher.
