Default Fuel Control Ideas

thinking of putting my extra ihi turbo on my 88 hf. I got the smc on my wagon, but it kinda kills mileage no matter what. i'm going to set it up so i can control the exhaust flow to the turbo, so I can have boost when I want it, but can get mileage when i want it. not going to try to exlain now, i'll wait to post pics until I have the setup complete. anyhow, will probably only run about 6psi,using a msd btm and a rising rate regulator with stock injectors. just thought i'd throw it out and see if anyone else has other suggestions, and what disk I should run on the fmu? thanks.

for the 88hf? first off I would upgrade the injectors, supposivly they flow at 190cc's compared to the other hondas that are normally 240's

what about the setup that dustin used on his dx that runs an extra injector or two? how expensive are those? that might be better than jacking up the fuel pressure.

You mean Steve... he uses the Sdsefi injector controller, ya it could work, but remember even a turbo HF putting out 40-50hp more than stock, you still wont be faster than a D16a6 bone stock..

you said bone.
i'm just trying to have a little extra power now and then without killing my great 43 mpg. i've got the wagon if I really wanna go fast. i'm a cheapass, thats why I built my own turbo to begin with! i'm not even sure it will work the way I want it to, but I won't know if I don't try.
also thought about putting an si motor in it and seeing if the hf computer would run it. anyone tried that? probably shooting myself in the foot. probably wouldn't get any mileage then, just run lean.

the HF ecu blows *** and will hardly run the a6 correctly, you probably would get worse gas milage. The a6 properly tuned can easily get 30-35mpg.

I have a si ecu if you need one.. 50+ shipping

well thanks but i have a pm6 or two laying around already.
for some reason i like trying things that are a total waste of time. what I really want to do is rip out the motor and trans and put in a b16 with my 98 crv awd 5spd I have and make an awd crx, but that would probably shoot the mileage out the window. I went from 37 mpg to 27 in my wagon when I went to awd, then down to 18 when I added the turbo. I just need to leave the hf for my beater.

I am using the SDS EIC 2 injector kit($500US). I haven't had a problem with it yet. It is very easy to setup and use. The best part is that you can tune it all from inside the car while on the go.
The 2 injectors on the charge pipe:

The controls where the ashtray used to be, another benefit of quitting smoking (sorry about the shitty pic):

There are two ***** for the controls, one for the threshold and the other for the gain. The two injector kit can handle up to 160hp.

nyc86zc.. is that ZC Fuel injected? I would be careful that you may run lean in more then one cylinder. The manifold of FI cars was meant to evenly distrbute DRY are, not air w/ fuel particles in it. I read on Sport Compact Car on a project CRX they did that setup w/ NOS not fuel injectors and leaned out on cylinders 1 and 4!
