I dont get how uberdata works...can someone just explain how you make this thing work. i mean everyone says go with it, but i dont know what it is. i am sure that this has been brought up a thousand times, but can someone just answer this for me?

so you chip your ECU to work with a Programmable chip. you burn the correct program into the chip, now the ECU is capable to read boost and adjust the amount of fuel/timing according to level of vacuume and boost. also, oem ecu will only allow stock sized injectors. now let me make something up to help u understand: say stock injector will dump 50 unit fuel at 1000 rpm by opening the injectors at 0.1 second at TDC, now with you 450cc (or whatever it is) your ecu is dumping WAY too much fuel because it is being open at the same speed (0.1 second) as when it has smaller injectors.which cause it to run too rich = won`t work the 450s could have doen the same thing by being open 0.05 seconds (i made all these ---- up don`t flame me :P) now you got what you want and i wrote what i know. i am looking for a equal length manifold as my birthday present. |
Re:FPR as FMS for Turbo Project???
its basically the cheap but effective(so I heard)way of having a stand alone.some one chips you ecu down loads a base map for it then you get it plug it up to a lap top and you can control your timing ,air fuel ratio, etc.the only thing you need 450cc..this would do what the afc or fmu btm would do all together.

Re:FPR as FMS for Turbo Project???
but will someone else, like at a tuner shop, do it for me? or do i do it myself. i already know what the program does, i just want to know how you install it. do i or tuner shop?

Re:FPR as FMS for Turbo Project???
So does anyone know this? Becuase I am not undestanding how this uberdata works....because if it is the cheapest and most effective, i would love to use it

Re:FPR as FMS for Turbo Project???
well you can learn to install it (basic soldering, etc.) or you can have someone else do it, like anything else on a car

Re:FPR as FMS for Turbo Project???
i know someone that ran 10lbs of boost on a t25 and only ways of tuning were a pr4,fuel pressure regulator, and retarded timing. the setup went a 13.2 and lasted a year but i still highly recommend some type of ecu program.
