found oil in my t25 outlet
so I was ripping it down the highway... watching my stupid wastegate not opening till 14psi as usual wondering when my motor was going to blow up when the charge pipe coupler closest to the turbo outlet blows off..
so I pull over and check it out.. oil... oil everywhere.. all through the outlet pipes of the turbo and my charge piping.. I have no shaft play, turbo doesnt burn oil or anything.. anyone know if I just blew a seal in the turbo or something? anyone run into this before? im running a t25 and i beleive its from a 96 or so eclipse gst.. any help would be appreciated |
Re: found oil in my t25 outlet
are you using any kind of oil restrictor?
|
Re: found oil in my t25 outlet
Nope oil line goes straight from my T i put on my pressure sending unit to the turbo..
never heard of a oil restrictor.. want to explain it a little bit for me ? |
Re: found oil in my t25 outlet
Do a little searching on oil pressure feed, there's info in the sticky's.
Long story short, turbo's dont need much pressure, but the engine put's out a lot. |
Re: found oil in my t25 outlet
yeah it could be too much pressure from the motor or it could also be too big of oil feed lines what size are you using?
