formula for intercooler piping?

I was gonna make my own intercooler piping, but I need to know what pipes to order. Is there are certain number of bends, straight pipes, ect that pretty much everyone ends up ordering? What I am trying to do is order up enough and the right piping so that I can just do some minor adjustments to it to make it fit my car (a 2000 Si with an JRC FMIC, compressor on the passenger's side).

I would order 2 "U" bends and 2 "J" bends. The j bends have a longer leg on them so you will have enough straight pipe so you wont have to go to the muffler shop for 2' of pipe.

I got two small U-bends, 1 large U-bend, and 2 L-bends.

My car is a 1999 Civic EX. All materials were bought from JCWhitney.com for about 90 dollars

I used one half of the large u-bend for the upper charge piping(where the CAI would be)and the other half to connect everything to the turbo. I am not sure if it will save you anything as far as buying bends, but this is how I have mine setup.
