FMU with stock pump???

Hi again guy's, I am building a turbo setup for my 2000 Integra Ls, and right now I'm looking into fuel management. I drive the car daily and want to keep boost at 6-7 psi. I'm going to use an fmu for now with stock injectors and if I decide to up the boost later on I'll switch to an afc controler and larger injectors. My question is when I'm running the fmu, do I need to upgrade to a bigger fuel pump??? I searched around and read up on other peoples setups. Some say change the pump, others say don't bother. What do you think? Any help is appreciated. This site has already helped out alot. Thanks :)

Re:FMU with stock pump???

From what I heard stock fuel pumps can take around 100psi of fuel pressure, at NA they run about 30psi. Most FMU's are 12:1 meaning that the fuel pressure increases by 12 for each pound of boost. (100-30)/12 = 5.8333 so 6-7 should be ok.

Well I ran my car with a 12:1 FMU and the stock pump for like a week and I could hear slight pining..Then I got off my ass and put my inline (airtex) fuel pump on, and guess what? no more denation...

Yeah, I guess I too should get off my lazy ass and change the pump just to be safe. Hahaha, don't worry Rolla, I'll try not to follow in your footsteps. That sucks about your motor though. ???

speaking of blowing motors..i have blown 2 motors in about a years time. on nitrous. that was back when i had a SOHC vtec delsol..the motors were only 300 bucks so i didnt care. and for my civic Si..i got a back up B20z motor just waiting until i blow my b16a2 block..which will prolly happen one day.
