fmu questions

i found a vortech fmu for a good price and i was wondering what ratio will work best on a d16y7(internally stock) running low boost from an rhb5(im gonna aim for 5-6 psi by messing with the wastegate actuator)...it has a 12:1 in it right now, but would that make me run too rich?

Iam running that turbo on my y7 @ 7 psi
I bought a used vortech SFMU with 8:1
disk in it and i dont run lean @ wot in 3rd
gear under load.
I cant confirm but guys here run 8:1 on
y7 and 12:1 on y8

The only real problem i had was,
I coundnt get the fuel pressure dialed back
down to what it was before the fmu install
A budy told me it was because i was also
running the stock fuel pressure regulator.
But since it doesnt increase fuel pressure
until it sees boost im really not getting
worse gas mileage at idle up to aprox.
2200 rpm . (that i notice)

Re:fmu questions

the problem with fmus and high output fuel pumps are that if you don't control the extra psi your fuel pump is putting out. you will run richat idle and cruising... and probably all the time if your setup is acually tuned the way it should be if your fuel pressure was normal...
