FMU and Boost controller same vac = Bad!
Well after installing my boost controller today I noticed it messed up my fmu. I had all of my vaccumes T'ed off of my FPR. Anyways with the boost controller and fmu on the same vaccume the fmu didnt seem to work even when it was adjusted so low that it didnt increase the boost.
Tomorrow I plan on moving the actuator vacume back to the compressor housing on the turbo and running the boost controller between the two. I'll do this after work, I had it up on the TB to see if I had a boost leak at one tmie. Anyways I'm curious why this messed up my fmu. The boost gauge still read correctly so I dont see why it affected it. Anyways any ideas I'm just curious why it did that. |

Thats the same one I purchased on ebay. He says its not a bleeder style but I beleive it is. I took it apart it consists of a ball bearing and a spring which the screw pushes on. |

its not a bleeder. ive been using that boost controller for years on customer cars. hmmmm only thing i cn think of is the drop in pressure in the line from the boost controller running the wastegate could be cuasing the problem.
