WELL I HAVE HAVE A B16 IN A EF... AND THIS IS THE TURBO KIT IM THROUGH'N ON IT .. ITS DEFINATELY HMT STYLE
its a air research (i think) .48/52 t3 (i kno its small)
starion fmic and piping and a d-series manifold made by stealth mode re drilled for a b series ... im thinking of running 7 pounds on a fmu then when i get better ic piping and a bigger turbo i wanna push 10-12 ... is there anything wrong with this kit .(i got it all for free my brother was ganna put it on his sohc) .. so i kno alot of people will say turbo is too small intercooler has crappy flow rate and ---- a fmu.. but this is hmt and atleast its not n/a ..its just something to get me started

get rid of the fmu for uberdata, its worth it, especially on the b16

i will eventually ... when i get the better turbo..... i think 7 psi on a fmu is fine .... i rather have uberdata..but dont have the time for it .... i got everything for free.. so no im not ganna buy uber-data till after i get the setup runing decent (reliable) with the fmu wht fmu is better for this i have a 12:1 is that a ok one to run??? thanks

reliabilty and fmu should'nt be used in the same sentence.

if you run uber on this setup, it will be fine to run on your next. it will be a bitch to replace a b16 when you blow it.

review your options.
a.) get uberdata for $100 and still have a b16
b.) blow your b16 with an fmu, spend big money to replace the b16

looks like i'd go with option A. not to mention your lower gears will ber absolute ---- with a fmu

if you got an ef and still obd0, run turboedit and not uberdata.

people only ran fmus in the past because there was no other option :P

ok well if i run uberdata .. is that turbo ok ..i realize its small but will it hold 7-9 psi at 8000??

fmu with a 4:1 disc would be optimal 8)

ok ok i got it no fmu.. how original hot rex .. your only the 3rd person to talk ---- about it in this thread.. that has been discussed.. im basically wondering if that turbo is ganna spike hard core in the top end or if ill be fine if only pushing 7 psi ???????? if so whats the most psi i could run before that thing spikes (9-11?)
