It really looks like you have a mis fire or something up top. What are your plugs gapped at? ANd that A/F ratio is a little lean... who tuned it? N/M i mistaked the 12.5 with 14.. lol. But still check your ignition, and maybe richen it up a bit.

Re:finally dynoed my civic

I think I'm running out of fuel pump up high
I guessing 8 fuel injectors will do that to ya with a stock fuel pump
but its just my beater so I'm not all that concerned

Re:finally dynoed my civic

I tuned it
and it was running 7-8psi for the dyno but I've been running 11psi for the past three weeks hehe

if it was tunned with a vafc they could've richened it up top. most people stil run stocp fuel pumps. good numbers.

Re:finally dynoed my civic

do most people run eight fuel injectors?
and its tuned with o34efi and our dyno wideband

Re:finally dynoed my civic

when i had really jagged dyno results like that on my d15b vtec, it was because of where my timing was set at the distributor.

fixed it and it was gone

before:

after:

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...ages/dyno3.jpg

dont ask about the power results, broken ringlands on the after dyno run.

Re:finally dynoed my civic

wow that changed it alot, I think I'll mess with the distributor a little
but I really think it needs a bigger fuel pump because I have to set the fuel settings above 4800 rpms really rich and it still starts to lean out ,also this is the second fuel pump I've installed on this thing, I've been getting them fromt the pick'n/pull ,but still seems like somethings killing them (over worked maybe?)
anywho its still a fun little car to drive and I've had to change my front right winter tire twice allreay lol

Re:finally dynoed my civic

yeah, all those rough edges on the top end pretty much mean detonation :-\ what are you using to retard timing? why the hell are you running eight injectors?

nummbr7 02-04-2005 08:02 AM

Re:finally dynoed my civic

I'm using just my msd 6btm ,its only set at 1 degree, I could turn it up ,but I'm not hearing any spark knock even on the dyno
I made the whole set up from left over parts that I've taken off customers cars hehe
except the pic-n-pull t3

Re:finally dynoed my civic

have you checked your plugs lately? how do they look, what are they gapped at?

nummbr7 02-04-2005 11:58 AM

Re:finally dynoed my civic

I had the plugs out last time I changed the oil they look good a little rich even ,also the gap is .044

Re:finally dynoed my civic

Your boosted with stock plug gap ?

Gap them to .028 or a big higher.

BTW you cant always HEAR detonation.

Pull it back more.
