dyno'ed at 171.2hp and 148tq at the wheels!

My first post on Jeff's forum!!!

Awsome!

Alright here goes....

Setup right now...

- 88 ZC block with stock internals
- 88 ZC head. PP exhaust ports.
- HF mani with NO adapter plate.
- T-25 DSM. Ported comp. inlet, rebuilt, ported turb. inlet.
- 450cc DSM tuned with ZDyne.
- 2.5" DP, 2.5" catco, 3" custom dynomax.
- 88 ZC tranny w/ Action 6 puck clutch
- 2" intake piping
- Bosch BOV
- Moded Starion IC
- Boosting 10psi.

ONLY 1/4 mile run ever due to stock clutch problems.... 15.4 at 98mph.

unfortunetly, I was not able to get a good 1/4 mile run this season due to the stock clutch. The car is currently garaged for the next 6 months as the new built ZC setup gets installed.

The new motor:

- 90 ZC block. 78mm Sleeved/O ringed by GE.
- Custom made JE pistons in 9.5:1 CR. Moly, and gold coated.
- Crower Rods
- ACL race bearings
- Fully PP and deburred 91 ZC head. Chamber will be gold coated. shaved .01" giving a 9.7:1 CR.
- Ported stock intake mani.
- .6/.63 AR 60 trim T3/T4 custom Precision turbo. Rated at 450hp cap.
- Revhard cast manifold. Tial 35mm HP wategate.
- Aremotive pump, stainless AN lines, Adj. FMU, 450cc, Zdyne.
- Full 3" DP w/ quick release. 3" cat, 3" dynomax.
- Fully rebuilt ZC tranny w/ Quaife.
- 2.5" intake piping w/ Type S BOV.

I plan to make over 400Hp, at whatever boost is needed.
I also have plans to fully rework the suspension, and interior.

This car will be driven on the street with only 14psi.

cool site. i finnaly got my car back together.

1997 civic dx

1997 civic dx d16 block w/ex aluminum oil pan w/drilled & tapped return line
1998 civic ex P&P head w/ bullfrog sohc turbo cam / AEM true cam gear. (worlds of adjustment)
1991 crx si ported throtle body and intake manifold (suck your hand in)
1991 si ported fuel rail w/B&M regulator (15 - 54psi w/out boost 66/w)
330cc dsm g2 fuel injectors (more than enough)
1991 crx HF ported manifold (super flow)
home made adaptor plate for the t/3, t/4 (perfect fit)
1988 volvo t/3, t/4 turbo (1500 rpm spool up on a d16 w/ the wastegate set at 4psi)
custom down pipe into 2 1/4 in pacesetter catback exhaust (great flow)
front mounted 1993 sabb intercooler (its ok hard to find a spot to put it)
custom charge pipes w/dsm 2g BOV (crap have to order custom pipes and different BOV)

and that was what i had in it till the keyway in the timing gear spunout and over boosted the hell out of my motor. blew all the rings and head gasket. popped all of my valve seals and scored my cam and the gear. then proceded to toast the brain (dont ask me how). just got the car running last week. with a new motor. 92-95 d15 (poop)

future plan.
1.65 sohc vtec stroker
nueforms block guard (welded w/ported colant pasages)
decked / sleeved / ported . 2 over
8.5/1 compression forged / routered pistons
98 ex ecu (for the vtec thinigy)
front mounted intercooler.
and more to be bolted on.

hey guys first post!! well i just want to say this site was the one who introduced me to boostt!! now im addicted to it ;) heres my setup

hf manifold

this setup was on car for over a year and now im upgrading to a new setup

-paxton fmu
-greddy air filter w/2.25in custom intake pipe
-unorthodox pulleys
-jun flywheel (not yet installed)
-str short shifter
-b&m fuel pressure regulator
-dsm 450cc injectors (not yet installed)
-msd pro cap and blaster coil

and as soon as the parts come in I will also have a
.093 inch head gasket, str block guard, and arp head studs. because my headgasket blew last week. this is one of the bugs. the others are the turbo is leaking oil
into the compressor housing and a very small exaust leak between the manifold and adapter plate.

sorry no numbers yet but I can tell you it spools up very
very quik w/ it leaking exaust it still hits 4 lbs by 3000 rpm.

a1 tranny (street) w/ 94 gsr axles and intermedate shaft
j1 tranny (welded diff for the strip)
srp pistons 9.5-1
P&P head
custom turbo manifold
t3/t4 turbo
2.5 down pipe
3" exhaust no cat no mufflers just 2 big resonators
starion intercooler end tanks rewelded
1g dsm 450cc injectors
1g dsm bov on homemade charge pipes
zdyne gold ecu
act stage 1 clutch

and some other misc crap i can think of right now

Did Beau ever get his b-16 turbo set up to boost over 2psi? If so, what was the problem?
