Default A few d16z6 turbo questions

Hey everyone. I have a few q's about turboing a stock d16z6. First off what civic hatchback has the d16z6. Next can i use the stock manifold of the d16z6 and welding on adapter plate? Also i want to push 10psi with vafc and 450cc injectors. How much hp can i get with a t3 turbo and that setup. Also can i use 2in piping for charge pipes or is that too small? Last question is where can i get a t3 turbo?

Thanks for all the help

The only hatchback was the Si 5th gen, manifold not easy, you would need to cut the manifold where all 4 pipes connect and the weld a metal plate to the cast iron, could be tricky but possible. Yes you can run 10 psi with the vafc hack and dsm injectors. Hp will vary from car to car, depending on intercooler, engine condition, etc., 2 inch charge pipes are fine. T3 turbo, search, several cars came with those stock, but there are several different trims, sizes on that turbo. It has been posted before, what cars had them, or just buy one from a web store, or Ebay, but be careful on ebay, people will call a T3 any turbo just to sell it. Hope this helps

How do i get flanges for the manifold that is the only thing that i am worried about. If i have the flanges then i can make the manifold no problem. How long to you think the engine could last running 10psi?

it will last a while if you retard the hell out of your timing and use an air/fuel gauge to tune your V-afc.
