few beginner questions

i'm about to start doing a turbo on my 94 Probe GT and I was hoping that you guys would help. I know it's not a b16 or b18 or anything...but I'll give any stock or semi-moded b series a run...however, this summer I am going to do a custom turbo set up and I wanted to have it all planned out ahead of time...so if you guys could help and give me a list of everything I need and what you guys have for sale cheap. I appreciate all the help and just for the record I do like hondas and acuras even though I drive a probe.
thanks
kc

Re:few beginner questions

First off.. Read through the projects. Read the FAQ..

Most of the information you need is in there.

Second, you're driving a Probe. Your car came stock with a turbo setup. Find out what you need, and take it from that car. That would be the easiest way of doing it.

Research your car, find out where you might find piping, your turbo, even the intercooler.. Since your car came stock with a turbo you shouldn't need to customize that much.

The Probe GT came turbo only until 1992 and it was a 4 cyl. His Probe is a 1994 GT which has a v6 engine n/a, so he will need to custom make some part. True, if you check the projects you'll have an idea of the basics needed then go from there. I have seen single and even twin turbo setups for this engine, I will check to see if I can find the link to them. If not my brother in law, who owns a 91 MX-6 which is basically the same car, should know.

thanks guys...i'll let you know if I have any questions...and keep looking for that link...i want to piece it together and custom build it so it'll be cheaper then buying the kit...so if the kit is cheap then I would go that way...and my car is the 2.5l V-6 n/a...cause it's a 2nd gen...so that's why it is custom...i have a few friends back home with em and the stock engine with about 7lbs runs mid to high 13's...so it's not bad...that's why i want to do it

there is a guy that makes kits for the MX6/Probe V6, Kight Engineering or some ----. they have advertisements in the back of SCC magazine...

I didn't know they came in V6.. Cool.. though, it seems that every Probe that has tried to "run" me was pokie. Maybe that's just here in Kansas City. :-\
