you can clean it up, or leave it to show his/their ignorance, i dont mind.

i put a bunch of small cuts into the end of the pipe to join on, and T up and folded them back to make a flare (a cleaner solution would have been flaring at an exhaust shop, but i had no time.) folded out, folded in slightly shorter, slip in the other piece, hammer down three or more, silicone, not jb weld for seal, not strength, and rivet, then just went round and did all the rest, the T was more of a bitch, but it worked out ok. i have a pic of it before joining if you want.

if you leave the thread as it is, it will serve as a neat little reminder of how he didnt get what he wanted (christ knows why he wanted it anyway...)

Excellent work! disreguard some of our smartass who dont even have an 1/8th of talent you have. I just make a side note about them, and later if they become a problem I just ban them. :y

Cheers,
Jeff

Damn nice build Fred. You certainly put quite a bit of work into that truck. Nothing like hauling stuff and ASS.

Nice to see you post Jeff.

Attachment 25814

see what i mean?

the only down side is flow on the inside... but its right after the turbo, so the air is still turbulent anyway i guess. and being 3" its probably got some surplus area...

damn, thats a time consuming way to couple pipes together. lol. i guess if you dont have a way of welding aluminum it works

Re: fe3 / fe dohc + holset + ford courier (b2000) = good fun ;-)

yep, no way of welding ally, and no time to waste driving around and waiting at ex shops and having them cock it up etc. so i just did it. the straight one didnt take long. fastest man on an anglegrinder ;-) the T took a bit longer...

I dont suppose you have many tracks around where you are

there are a few tracks, we have 7 second cars too. more interestingly though, we have some nice tracks like this :

www.tauporacetrack.co.nz

it looks like this :

http://www.tauporacetrack.co.nz/images/pic04.jpg

the A1 series did a round there recently, and the week before that, i did a day there.

no times from it yet, priority was getting to drive it before leaving the country... which i did. i'll post a time in about 2 years when i get back and give it a flog...
