jeeeeesus! 3 hours sleep for 30 days in a row! LOL. near death. literally, i nearly wrote off the skyline about 5 times the night before i left nz. off the road sideways through grass and gravel and back on. over an island. lack of sleep and me driving just dont jive.
and this is easily the best shot of the engine bay as i was driving it complete with duck tape and cable ties for the toilet and over flow.

i never claimed that i had finished the project, just that i had finished the drivetrain and that it was pretty fast :-)

:-) South Africa is "downunder" if you ask me, and if you ask me, nz being further south on the average is more down under, but whos counting ;-)
i'm sure i'll find a holden or ford guy to embarrass when i get home. not a lot of them ever want to race though, but i'm sure i'll find one or two.
the aim of the game for this ute is wrx and evo kills on racetracks. ie, it has to brake and corner like nothing on earth too. that will be more of a challenge than the making it go fast thing.

Bumpy Bumpy :
I now own a van :-)

It's in NZ and I'm in the UK, but I still managed a burnout ;-)
The van comes with 5 studs and disk brake rear end, so those bits will be going on the ute and the van to the dump :-) Obvious benefits to 5 studs include easy Monster front rotor choice, easy wheel choice, both of those cheap too. Disk brake rear = less work. The stock brakes were getting WAY too hot even with 700C race pads, and I hadn't really pushed them hard.
In other news I also own a pair of these :

Should help skew the power curve towards the top end a bit :-)
Enjoy!
Fred.
