f22a1 turbo?

Hey guys i'm looking for information on how I can turbo my f22a1. I've been told I don't need to do anything to my motor and I've also been told I need to lower the compression rates by changing the head to the h23 one and use an f23 gasket. Also I've been told to go to the junkyard and find an eclipse or laser with a turbo and use the dsm and stuff from them to go the cheap way but I've also been told not to mess with any of that and just buy a turbo kit but i'm short on money right now looking for another job. If anyone has done this before or knows how ill be glad to listen.

Nevermind just going to change engines.

The f22a sohc motors are excellent boost candidates. They have perfect compression for boost, stout internals, and lots of room to squeeze a turbo in. Before you go swapping motors, think about boosting the f22. The only motor worth swapping to in a prelude is a f22b (dohc non-vtec). It is another great candidate for boost.

I'm in the same process but with a f22b1. Dude don't do the dsm turbo. Because u have to buy everything dsm for those turbos. Go buy a beat up t3 for like 30 buks. Rebuid it for 120. Get a mishimoto intercooler. Piece up some piping. Buy a used bov, wastegate, don't be cheap on the mani. I did it this way for under 800. Also save up money to tune with hondata, and dyno

If you're short on cash, I would stick with the f22 and build it slowly. Don't rush the build. Wait for the good deals on quality used/new parts. Your compression ratio is fine on a stock f22. You can use the dsm stuff, but remember you get what you pay for. Do some research on what other people have used in their own builds and learn as much as you can. Most importantly, have fun.
