Default External wastegate vacuum line question

Hey everybody. Ive been lurking on here for awhile now as I collected parts I needed to get my kit. I have everything physically installed but I have a problem that Im not seeing any boost and my BOV is not discharging. I checked all my intercooler charge pipes and they are all secure so I think I may have my external wastegate hooked up wrong.

My wastegate has a port right on top of the dome for a vacuum source and a port towards the bottom of the dome. I have the bottom one T'ed off into my fpr vacuum line and the top one plugged. Maybe I need to hook that into the same line? I also have a manual boost controller that I need to install as well. Can anyone give me any insight into this or perhaps provide info, a diagram, or a link to one showing me how this wastegate+boost controller should be hooked up? I checked out the FAQ but couldn't find what I was looking for there unless I grazed right over it. Thanks!

BTW this is for a t3/t4 setup.

top one should just be left open, not plugged, but im not sure if that will solve your issue.

I tried leaving the top port on the wastegate open and I get the same thing. When the wastegate is off, should I be able to physically press in the valve? I tried but I can't press it in at all. I dont think that's related, just curious.

Im also not sure what brand it is. I got it from a friend of mine and there is no name stamp on it so I can't tell.

...and yes ******* are always welcome 'round here!

you should be able to push on it to open it, but it takes alot of force, especially if you have a heavy spring in there.

im sure its not stuck, if it were, you'd get lots o boost.

Yea I figured it wasnt related. I can hear the turbo spooling and all the silicon hoses are tighter than a 6 year old girl

have you checked all your piping and couplers to make sure you dont have any boost leaks, sounds like you popped a charge pipe off or didnt tighten a coupler...

usually turbos are very audible if a pipe is popped off.

I just got done checking all the couplers and they are all super tight. I am positive I have the wastegate hooked up wrong. The side of the wastegate is being sent up to the intake maifold and is T'ed off where the fpr vac line is and the top port is open with nothing in it, open into the atmosphere which I bet is wrong. Should both ports be T'ed off into the same vacuum source with the manual boost controller inline? This is the last thing I need to get my car up and on the road so if someone could give me some sort of diagram on where the vac lines on the wastegate need to go I would be very appreciative. I cant find ---- on google or yahoo.

LEave the top one open and connect the side port to anywhere @ the intake manfiold.

but think about it even if you hooked it up wrong, what could happend is that the WG does not open (not being able to regulat boost)but you should still see boost, other then if the WG is leaking
Did u BOLT UP the WG correctly?, did you install the fire ring in between the WG and manifold?
Can you feel exhaust coming out of the WG dump?
Did you remove the line that goes between the valve cover and intake tube?
Is you PCV leaking?
Did you check for vaccume leak AFTER the charge pipe? (vaccume leak at da motor)
