As the title states. what type of cars came with external wastegates from the junkyard?

I'm going to one soon and I allowed to just Poke around. Just wondering if I'll find anything useful?

 

some audi and mercedes. easy to see under the hood.

 

Check out audi's but they suck at getting off and are set at 14psi . especially if you live in a snowbelt area and the bolts are rusted to ---- like mine were. My local yard have two audi's with ext wg's but I got one and after that I don't even want to try to get the other one. Maybe for the right price I would try to get it off but even still it's iffy. Someone just did a write up on modding the audi wg.

Just remember, when going to a junkyard, 2 of the most important tools you can take are a can of PB Blaster and a propane torch.

 

I thought the most imoprtant tools were A BIG ------- HAMMER, bolt chissel, and a hack saw. Some people like to say it's the Tool Box itself, just depends if they check at the door.
