external wastegate on an hf manifold
 

ok so i was reading through this on h-t http://honda-tech.com/zeropost?cmd=tshow&id=1089493 and if you read that i posted this idea on it.....
most people weld a flange onto the manifold, but have problems with it cracking and its a pain in the ass anyways.....why not just weld the flange to a short piece of threaded pipe the size of the o2 hole and thread it into there for an easy ass external wastegate? i just figured this would save people time.....lmk your ideas

I would say the o2 sensor hole is too small for the wg to function properly without overboosting.

that was the only other thing i could think of.....you could just drill it out and tap the hole for a bigger one?

I guess but all that work I'd rather just keep it simple and run an internal gate. Also never seen a tap that big but if you're set on it though it can be done one way or another.
