I have the same problem and cant figure it out for the life of me checked everywhere but can find the leak

of course it leaks. It's obvious.

Did you machine your downpipe flange FLAT after you welded it ?
if you didn'T, well the heat of welding just distorted that flange like a taco and that'S why it leaks.

Yes, that leak is equivalent to having a wastegate open all the time and it slows down your spool up too.

smear jb weld all over the flange right before you put it on.
its just like taco sauce

yah it does look like its leaking from the dp flange...u can see the trail of black scoot

im talking with the shop that did the downpipe right now

im sure the turbo was machined when rebuilt

he ran it on a belt sander type thing

it feels sright

but i just added 5-6 laters of copper spray to be sure
ill be testing it out tonite iwht a 3.6psi spring
if it boost 3.6 then my leak has been fixed

Maybe try making a gasket out of that copper sheeting ----, I've heard it works great.
