if you get over shcedule 10 thickness the heat exspansion from the stianless will inevitably crack the tubbing. Also run the thinest tubbing you can like i siad we use 0.065 and its bomb proof. just make support brackets to keep the wieght of turbo off. weve got plenty of turbo manifolds weve tested none with cracks built as i described above.

well this post has made me signed up for welding class again! w00t to 20 dollar lab fee for all the welding my little heart can handle :P mig, tig, oxy, arc, chop saw, plasma cutter ;D

Thats what all the other fab. companys use also, Lovafab, Full-race, Spoolin performance, ......... If you look at the thickness on there site its not even a 1/16" thicker, why not have the added insurance, esp. when you have a garuntee for life on stuff that i make. :P

I will try to post some pictures of both, but, if you hold them up side by side (sch 10 and sch 40) I can't realy see the difference. Sounds like a big difference and the weight is about the same.

It's not that thick. I was not able to find and 1/2 stainless plate locally, damn steel shortages, so I am going to use mild steel. This is going to be one ugly manifold. Ah well, might just get the whole thing coated or slap some heat wrap on it to cover up its uglyness.
