engine wont rev up

ok, just got my turbo kit on, and it runs fine at idle, but when i get into the gas it simply cuts out at 3500 and wont go past there, its like there is a redline at 3500 right now, what could this be? vacume leak?? i dono, please help

more details on the setup...for all we know you have a chipped ecu with a rev limit/2step at 3500

right now its a mini me, t25, chiped ecu for previous turbo setup(as im told), yes i have a check engine light, but thats nottin new
