ive got a fully built d16z6 with a garret t3. and from yesterday my car starts to make loud knocking noises.
the noise starts as soon as my engine starts , however it does not get louder as the revs get higher , in gear
3,4 and 5 the noise is quite low but you can still hear it.

what can this be ?

it is your rods and pistons. floating wrist pins are just noise makes it sound like a diesel

 

I was going to say bad gas and run premium octane.
Does the knocking sound match the rpms? Increase/decrease in speed?

Who said I had a crx? Don't ASSume that because you have AWD you will dominate on a road course. Far from it...my 89 hatch runs through 1/2 mile solo2 courses in 38 seconds and less...with no boost. So far I've beat wrx's, sti's, evo8/9's, any other dsm on a road course by at least a good 6-7 seconds. Only other cars that i compete against for a good challenge are mazda miata's with good suspension work.
