EG Fog lights vs. Intercooler Piping
I want to keep my OEM fogs on my EG.....is there anyway I can route the piping to do this?

Re:EG Fog lights vs. Intercooler Piping
Really depends on how the intercooler is setup, what do you have?
|
Re:EG Fog lights vs. Intercooler Piping
Well nothing yet.....but since I am only going to run 8 psi or so I'll get a smaller IC.....maybe 16-18'' core size

Re:EG Fog lights vs. Intercooler Piping
I've seen a couple EG running a FMIC with the factory fogs. Depending on your setup you should be able to work around them.

Re:EG Fog lights vs. Intercooler Piping
With a smaller fmic it would work but with something about the size CCA cooler I doubt you could keep the fogs.

Re:EG Fog lights vs. Intercooler Piping
If you could route your pipes without going around the frame of the car, you could do it.

flip the intercooler upside down, making the in/out of the intercooler on the top.

Re:EG Fog lights vs. Intercooler Piping
As someone said above it's very difficult with something like a CCA intercooler; unless you get very creative with your charge piping. Lots of bends. Hope you like to weld.

Re:EG Fog lights vs. Intercooler Piping
with the CCA, the fog lights will fit if you make the charge pipe angle tight enough.

Re:EG Fog lights vs. Intercooler Piping
Actually I was thinking of just using 2.25-2.5'' silicone tubing for charge pipes.
It's flexible and heat resistant...and is good up to 45 psi or so.... |
Re:EG Fog lights vs. Intercooler Piping
Fog lights were cool back in like 1996... intercooler piping is way sexier.

Re:EG Fog lights vs. Intercooler Piping
The silicone tubing isn't all that flexible. You will have to buy bends that cost an arm and a leg, and you still need to use some pip to connect the silicone pieces.
There is a reason everyone uses steel bends. |
