Come on man, u knew that ---- was gonna get flamed here...That car is extremely sick, and even though it IS running an ESCORT engine it CAN'T be an ESCORT because an ESCORT is built by FORD not HONDA...Now if it was a B16 or 18 powered 93 CivicHatch(car which never came with a B series engine, not in the US anyway) and it only ran in the 11 or 12 second range THAT would BE WAAAAY COOLER cause it's a CivicHatch and ANYTHING OTHER THAN A HONDA IS A POS, even if it does run a 9.1 sec1/4mile... ::)

It's a ------- drag car. So the all the original fwd sedans they use the name for inNASCAR are the same as ones you can see at the grocery store....Their still camry's and taurus's, monte carlo's, Fusion, etc... DUde face it, it's a drag car from Escort shell. Where do these ------- people come from?

first off the only thing escort about that motor is the valve cover..

and the other thing is that you have to think hmmmm rear wheel drive all out drag car.....that runs 9's that is not that impressive concidering there are street driven 9 sec supras, rotaries, and so on. so in that aspect not that impressive. look at other that are all out full drag cars they are in the 6's so this car that would be in the same class only running 9 aint that cool.

uhhhhh, there aren't ANY Honda's running 9 or 10 sec. quarter miles on stock OEM internals and engine blocks are they?...U guys act like he said "hey, check out this cool STREET car"...he never said it wasn't a f@ckin' drag car...and as far as it being RWD, why would you build a 600hp engine just to run a FWD setup?? that would be stupid...Yeah, it's more challenging to get those kinds of times out of a FWD car, but whoever built that didn't give a damn about the challenge, he had plenty of $$ and just wanted to sumthin' fast, and it's easier to do that with a high hp engine w/ a RWD drivetrain...and those guys running 6's in that same class?? aren't most of those guys running 3 liter Toyota straight 6's and $hit like that...that's a 1.8(maybe 1.9?) 4 cylinder...why does something HAVE to be a JAPANESE product for it to be cool...small displacement turbocharged DOMESTIC'S are str8t as hell, in my book...

LOL...oh, but I've been corrected for that ignorance before myself, while in rotation the displacement of a rotary engine is more than 1.3 liters...and most people would agree that it is ALOT easier to hook up 600hp in a RWD application than it is in FWD one...

I personally think that has got to be the biggest BULLSHIT i have ever heard. Its not the fact if its a Honda,Ford, Chevorlet,Nissan or whatever. That accomplishment is takings something that has less that 100 hp from the factory and imporving it beyond belief. The small D-series civics who are puttin out double the power from the factory i bow down to you for that, its a great accomplishment.
BUt isnt this what this site is about, making ---- faster and better no matter the manufacture or is this a HONDA RULES ALL website?

It must be nice just to go get to have anything imaginable for a honda at your local pepboys, or autozone off the shelf. They make bearly anything for an escort, hell we got to use DSM parts for a way to turbocharge our ----. Any moron can bolt ---- up but it take some real knowledge to acutally find this kinda ---- out and make it work on a platform it was never ment to see.

YEAH, alot of those ppl are here...I think it's a cool ass car, even if it has been HEAVILY MODIFIED a) because it is something different b) as you said, alot of the stuff on that car was probaly custom fabricated, one-off parts...
