I am currently doing a B16A in my 1990 civic HB. I want to build the motor and put in a fairly good size turbo in the car. But for now i just want a little turbo just to get things started. I don't even want a chance of bending a Rod. That would suck. But I was woundering if a stock Eclipse turbo would work good for what i want to do. And do you guys think i will run into any problems with this set up. Or do you think i should go for it.

I also have a BIG *** Garrett turbo from a bus. I don't know much about it. all that i know is that it is from a bus and Im pretty sure it is from a detriot diesel. What do you guys think it is worth. i bought it for $10. I think i might just sell it on ebay but i was woudnering what i might get for it.

see thats why i hate to post here.... all that people say is (THIS SUBJECT HAS BEEN TALKED ABOUT BEFORE... RESEARCH -------). Or something close to that. It takes more time to say that then just to say the answer to my question. Almost everthing thread i have looked at all say that this subject has been gone over before. Oh and i did do some research, but sorry i don't have all day to just sit here and search all day for one stupid little thing. I think it is a pretty easy question to answer. all i want to know is WILL I BLOW ANYTHING UP BY RUNNING A 14b, OR 20b turbo on stock internals??

Grow the ---- up, and learn to use the internet, it takes less time to hit the search button and search mitsubishi turbos on b16a then it does to make a post.


That turbo is really ------- small for a b16a, it will spool really fast and stop making power around 6ish rpms.

god was it really that hard to right a sentence?? That was all i was looking for. i can't belive that ppl are getting pissy about a damn sentence. Does anyone what to say anything about the bus turbo?

sorry no im not ------ stupid. I DON'T WANT TO PUT THIS ON MY CAR. Im not the smartest person in the world but i am smart enough that puttin a bus turbo on a car is just dumb. needless to say it would probably never work. But if you read through my Thread you would find that i want to know how much money i can get for it. I am probably gona put it up on ebay. I just got it because a friend of mine sold it to me VERY cheap. I want to know how much i can get for it. There is nothing wrong with it. IT might have a small oil leak tho. But other then that nothing is wrong.

some people just sit there expect everything hand feed it to them. You have to understand something, it is not the fact that we have to "simply type an sentence" to answer your question, it is due to the fact that we have to type the damn same "sentence" over and over again every time somebody got too lazy to search. Don't take it to the heart, it's nothing personal. This is a no pain no gain game, around this time last year I spent my whole xmas break reading so I suggest you do the same. If you think this is bad, go to HT and ask the same question.

ok yes this is tru. maybe if i searched some more i would find the answer to my first question. Ok i understand this. but what about my other question. I think this is a question that hasn't been brought up before. I just want to know how much a Garrett bus turbo is worth. It could be trash for all i no. But the thing doesn't seem to be used to much. almost no play in the shaft at all. So its not bad. And also if i wanted, could it be rided up to work on a RX-7 It would be interesting to know if you could do this. If i know anything i know about rotary's and i no that it is very very hard to blow them up.
