Hello everyone. I was just reading some of the other topics in the forum, and noticed people saying bad things about the SS Autochrome manifolds you can buy from ebay. I tried to do a search and couldn't find anything. Just wondering what you all had to say about it, or any links to prevous posts.

I'll be running a 1st gen talon TD04 and i thought this would be a good maniflod if i wanted to upgrade to a larger t3 or t3/4 later down the road. SO what are the problems with this one? I've heard cracking and maybe that it has been solved buy the braces on the newer ones? It seems like a good deal, and kinda hard to pass up.

 

you usually if not always get what you paid for. The performance of you car will be proportional to the money you put in. Beside the cracking issues, you will more than likely experience massive boost creep.

 

ok, what manifold would you recomend for this turbo

 

seriously, just about any manifold besides ss auto chrome and obx, the both suck equally.

 

Check the classifieds I think stealthmode is running a groupbuy on turbomanifolds for not that much.

 

stay away from ssautochrome manifolds they crack like a bia....there are many forums that have threads that show and talk about experiences with them.....get on stealthmodes group buy thats the best bet for hte money....
