Default ebay turbo customization

i was wondering if it was possible and how well it would work. to take the 'ebay' 57trim hot side and mate it to the 'ebay's' "t70" 61mm compressor housing.

57trim = 150 shipped
"t70" = ~200 shipped
total = 350 +/- w/e else i would need.

not a bad price for a new 61mm turbo.

It'd be easy, wouldn't even have to unbolt them. Just pull them apart and the glue will give way. Go die

they are not the same turbos and the housings will not swap.

the t70 wheel is WAY to big and you will have about a 1/4" of material from the small turbos hot side that you will need to have machined out.

so add in another $150+ for machine work.

at this point just buy a REAL damn turbo

You don't know much.

The .57 trim clones do okay at single digit psi, but come apart when you push to or past 300 whp.

T70 = immediate failure, under 1000 miles and usually under 500.

T70 is based off of K26/K27 design with a ------- wierd milled-down T4-esque but not swappable with anything else turbine housing, where the .57 trim clones almost resemble Garretts. You can't ever get the two to bolt together, but that's okay because:
