these are average prices at the junkyard and you would still need a turbo manifold and misc items.

 

you will always pay more when someone has spent the time getting all the parts. thats the part that takes time.

depends on if you wanna find the parts or just buy em all and save some time.

matter of your budget i guess.

 

What I cant understand is $100 to $200 for a turbo
do you know what your getting fot that. Wouldnt it be safer to buy a good one like $500-800 then you know what you have is good.

I bought a new turbo off ebay. I'm not into used turbos. I don't trust the person telling me how used it actually is because you know they aren't going to tell you it is fucked. They always say "No shaft play whatsoever". I got lucky though. The guy was really cool and hooked me up with all kinds of stuff.

Brand new turbo=$560
2 1/2" mandrels=$13 a piece
4-6psi adjustable internal wastegate=$40
Custom tubular manifold=$210

I don't think I would take that risk again, but some people are honest on ebay.

I got ripped off on my turbo off ebay, $270+sh, the guy said it was rebuilt by garrett,and no shaft play, never used after rebuilt, I got the turbo on my car its smoking like a mother ******.
