Ebay engine Kits..good / bad?

I would like to hit 250-275 WHP with my D16Z6 and 16G , HF manifold , stock head and somewhat built internals. (high 12's in a Stripped 89Si?)

These kits on ebay seem like a good deal.... Eagle rods and Vitara's. Just wanted some feedback from anyone who has used them ,

PR.. that's probably you know who selling that ----. (fjt)

It looks good though. Everything you need one stop shopping.

Has anyone polished the tops of some Vitaras? Would this provide any benefit like less surface area for better cooling or anything?

it can be done for a LOT cheaper ! fjt sells vitaras with rings for 135shipped. you get them with in a week if they are in stock 75mm or 75.5mm. rods go for ~250. bearings, measure your ---- and get them from honda.

Dude, add it up. 135 + 250 + 100 for bearings oh look how much is that. And that's getting Eagles at $250.

Eagle retail is $320. TT rods are 250, not Eagle.

i forgot to add the price of the bearings, thats why i said it can be done for a lot cheaper. my bad.
but, you can get eagle rods for ~ 250. its still a better build then using pos acl bearings.

There not bad, but they only come in one size. So if you need them bigger then there trash. BTW to One2many, see after you stopped being a ass and started helping people the less you will get flamed. On a last note you still have not made a intro post.

Re: Ebay engine Kits..good / bad?

But see, to size bearings you need a set of standard size bearings, which the ACLs are perfect for. Whichever ones are out of spec you buy at a Honda dealer, and it's all good. Usually though a decent crank doesn't need the red bearings or whichever ones are the thickest. I think ACLs come in 2 sizes, green and yellow, but OEMs have 2 or 3 bigger sizes than that.
