I cannot advance timing...

But I just found what may have been severly hampering me... The fuel sock/filter on the walbro pump WAS FLIPPING SOLID CLOGGED. OK, not solid, but damn was it dirty. Lucky I had another replacement. Should make a huge difference.

sounds like corrosion from the inside of the tank clogged the walbros sock.
ive heard of issues where walbro wont warranty e85 due to these issues and the risk of burning out their pumps.
its nice stuff. takes all the carbon deposits off of your pistons, valves, and injectors. but also the inside of your gas tank.
most people are more concerned about replacing the fuel lines and dont realize that the tank is an issue as well.

I only ran about 10 gallons, so I doubt that was it. More like the tank is dirty to start with, and I have run about 15 gallons of Torco through it in the past few years!

This site has 1680cc reman injectors for $38 each. Call them.
www.gbreman.com
you want ford part #F5TE-B5A

They are top feed but you are capable of making your own fuel rail. The triumph guys do it all the time. Copper tubing and tees with some careful soldiering and forethought. We built one for a turbo mk1 mr2 once, it worked out pretty well. 60+psi all day. Just take your time and pressure test it before hand.

Something to think about. :6
