Default E-Cut Downpipes! Do They Last? How Can I Make It Effiecient? Emissions Friendly!

Ive bene thinking of doing an electric cutout exhaust setup

This pic is wat got me hooked

Ineed to keep my car legal and quiet for driving around and need to pass emissions. I also am running a external wastegate and I guess need to route that right back into the downpipe to keep it emissions friendly.

This is going in an OBD0 Crx that will have a wideband and the factory 02 sensor

I want to be able to run this and tune this setup efficiently, where would I place the bungs?

This is a bitchin setup but theres very little room for the factory 02 sensor and a place to recirculate the dump in there

Facts- Ive got a passenger side downpipe and my wastegate dump points straight down ontop of the downpipe, I could easily merge the dump only a few inches into the downpipe and then the e-cut maybe a foot straight down after that

I need some opinions and facts on what to do and how reliable these setups are

Do these motors break down easily?

The motors fail a lot because of the heat.

Wouldnt they be made to withstand heat since they are made specifically for exhaust?

You would think so but a lot of them fail.

I wish to do the same but I would prefer a cable operated style. My old man was telling me that back in his day they ran cable ones to open it up with a quick pull. That or a straight flange with a bolted on plate that you have to climb under and take off.It is really to bad the electrical ones are so unreliable as they are fairly expensive.

it only goes to 2-1/4 but if you have to have a cut out that you can change from in the car here it is [url=http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/showCustom-0/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2006307/c-10101/Nty-1/p-2006307/Ntx-mode+matchallpartial/N-10101/tf-Browse/s-10101/Ntk-AllTextSearchGroup?Ntt=cut%20out]cutout

That seems like its really close to the turbo i was thinking of getting one for my daytona and having it about where the cat used to be. Do they seem to have the heat problems when farther down the exhaust?
