How many people here with a homemade turbo setup can pass the emissions tests in your area? And if you can, is it on a stock ecu or tuned program?

 

You may want to check what your local e-check looks for.
This year in Ohio at least they only look for a cat and scan your computer for 1996 and newer cars. No actual tailpipe test.

 

I am obd0 so the obd2 thing won't apply. I am trying to see who actually has to run their car on a test machine and if it passed the test.

 

So am I the only person that has to pass an emissions test here?

 

hell mine wont pass NOX to high anyone else i have to get mine to pass illegally or take off the setup

 

Most people *find* someone to help them pass or just convert back to stock to pass...

 

So if you had a wide band and properly tuned chip, do you think it could pass then or is just completely out of the question?

 

YES, some1 on here actually passed a b16 turbo, NO CAT. Just many hours street tuning part throttle.

 

yeah I've heard of stuff like this done before. I think there's a dude down here in SoCal who has no cat and all types of mods and passes with flying colors. And it's SoCal ------ rediculous smog=rediculous emissions requirements.
