12:1 afrs eh? Is that safe when boosted on a honda? I aimed for mid 11's to low 11's on my car just to be on the safe side.

Re: Dyno my B20a Turbo

despite being a non mls head gasket the accords seem to hold boost just fine. my buddy accordepicenter has yet to pop a gasket and run as much as 13 psi on a stock motor on his a20 no problems at all. and we just a put together a fully built a20 for him looking to make 500+whp still has the stock composite gasket in it too. besides on a stock motor I would rather the head gasket be the weak link then the ringlands

The head gasket was AJUSA and the wastegate Egay i put a new spring in it and i pinched the a hole in the diaphragm :l

TwoLoudnproud 09-27-2008 04:11 AM

Re: Dyno my B20a Turbo

Ok I screwed up this time when i put the head on i used the AJUSA Spec sheet and it go's like this. 1) 15ibft 2) 29ibft 3)51ibft then -90*+51 ibft

10--6---2---3---7

9---5---1---4---8

Here some pic's
The Ajusa way
http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n...d/DSCN7503.jpg

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n...d/DSCN7504.jpg

Now the time before i used the CHILTON and i had no problem with boost spike's and the head gasket like new when i took it off. Here how the chilton go's

1) 29IBFT 2) 51IBFT 3) 72IBFT This is for the B20A5 Prelude

9---5---1---3---7

8---4---2---6--10

So i am going to stick with the chilton.

Your problem is the composite headgasket.

I did not even know that honda uses those crappy headgaskets.
I spent 5 minutes looking for a mls headgast for that motor, came up with nothing. you might have to get it custom made. cometic

thats why you should set the boost cut limit at a safe setting setting

i know my boost cut saved my b20b/b16 last night, my wastegate diaphragm was blown and i hit 12 but boost cut saved me

Re: Dyno my B20a Turbo

Whomever "they" is, please give me their number so I can personally tell them that they are flaming faggots who need to stick to selling goped parts with no technical advice involved. You will seep tiny amounts of oil and coolant over time with a copper headgasket. It is not a leak, think of how a valvecover sometimes gets barely moist with oil right at the seal and airborne dust adheres to it and makes it "mossy" and inch or so around the gasket seal. That's the sort of leak you deal with, it's practically nothing. It is not leaking coolant as you go down the road. ::)

Besides, you can get an MLS gasket for your engine. This is the third time I've told you this. Why the ---- would you want to run a copper gasket when MLS is available??

MLS is not available for my B20a. My B20a is not some as the B20a or the B20a5 that came in the 88-91 prelude here a pic of the head gasket
