dump tube question
hey i just wanted to know if its necessary to have a dump tube connected to ur wastegate. i got a tial wastegate from my friend which came with what seems to be a flange and a gasket for the dump tube but theres not dump tub. is it possiable to just leave the opening the way it is? or will dirt and debri damage my wastegate. thanks

Re:dump tube question
it won't damage the wg, however, it will dirty your engine bay up with smoot, just like from your exhaust, also, make sure there are no hoses, lines, wires, plastic parts in the path that the gasses will travel out of the wg, or they will melt ;) i don't have a dump tube on mine, but it's angled in such a way that it just gets my block and parts of the frame really dirty :P

Re:dump tube question
do you know how hot your exhaust fume will be when the wg is opened??? so dumptube or no dumptube? it's a no-brainer.

Re:dump tube question
mine was blowing on the ic ::) also not having a dump tube didnt do much for the temps under the hood

Re:dump tube question
while we're on the subject, do anybody know what's the size of a typical dumptube? I have a Delta wg and I don't have my car here.

Re:dump tube question
