trying to tear apart my dsm t25 to see if i can rebuild it.
i got the exhaust hosing loose, but it wont come off? seems like the wheel sticking.
i didnt try to force it for fear of damaging the shaft.
any pointers?

wtf, i know some people have taken apart turbos before

 

i put mine in a vise and beat the hell outta it, with a mini sledge at that.. but i wasnt trying to keep mine. Just wanted to see the inside cuz i never took one apart lol.

 

You probably got it wedged in at an angle. Look to see which side is touching the turbine wheel, then smack the housing on that side (inwards towards CHRA) to straighten it out. Otherwise its the years worth of carbon/rust build up that make it nearly impossible to take off completely.

 

the turbine housing is loose, i can rotate it, but whe i try to pull it away(as straight as i can) the wheel wont come out of the housing.
