i got my sister a crx with an SOHC zc for 1000 bucks. im gonna turbo it with a junkyard kit. i only wanna run 5 psi on it cuz the last zc setup i made blew up with the 450cc dsm inj. at 12 psi. i got a set of dohc non turbo dsm injectors for free. i think they are like 240cc. will these be enough to run 5 psi?or are they gonna blow up the zc??

 

no better than oem Honda injectors

 

u cant run a stock ecu one boost..it will throw a code.
to make stock injectors work with boost u need an FMU to raise the flow.
so even since its only 5psi u need something for fuel.
some one correct me if im wrong.

 

oh i will use something to regulate the fuel like a fmu. i have a pm6 sitting in my garage that was chipped and tuned for 450`s with turbo edit. i ran it on my dohc zc setup. i dont have another set of 450`s to put in this setup and i want to get it running. i waws under the impression that the stock honda inj were only 190cc. so 240 seemed like a big enough jump for 5 psi. dont lots of aftermarket kits use 270cc inj for 7 psi applications?? 240 woudl seem like enough for 5 psi

 

since its chiped for 450's just use that and tune them for w/e u r running

the injectors are from a DOHC non turbo talon. they are goingin a SOHC zc. i heard that the OEM injectors were 190 cc. 50 cc of extra fuel should be enough for 5 psi. i basically wanted to jsut use the stuff that i already have on the setup, otherwise id set out for a set of 450`s. i have to keep the boost low for now since she needs a daily driver car. its already decently quick, she just wanted it to be a bit faster + BOV sounds.

 

right those dsm are 240cc.
i mean the honda injectors. most are already 240cc. some are 190cc.

 

oh.. i didnt think that the honda ones were that big. esp. on a zc. il research it more!

 

yeah the stock honda injectors are 240 cc. looks like i gotta go get some dsm 450`s or 380`s. thanks for the help everyone
