https://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_p...seal-kit_P.jpg
When i install my dsm injectors. do i only need the bottom seal or do i need all these?? my dsm didn't even come with the upper o ring seals.. the explanation doesn't say what i need |
Re:DSM injector seals, NAPA kit question
the little round small green seal is for hte top seal and then all you need to do is drill out hte big green seal. the rest is well, no use.

Re:DSM injector seals, NAPA kit question
if the 2 black ones are no use, why does NAPA include for the injectors??
|
Re:DSM injector seals, NAPA kit question
2 manifold seals, rail seal, and rail cushion. don't use the black manifold seal (stock inj) use the green one.
|
Re:DSM injector seals, NAPA kit question
ok but why.. explain how the black manifold seal works on the stock injectors or any
and i guess the GREEN O-RING goes on top for the fuel rail, but how about that odd looking black one? |
Re:DSM injector seals, NAPA kit question
couldn't i drill out the injector seals that came stock on my car?they are for stock 240cc honda non resisted injectors
|
Re:DSM injector seals, NAPA kit question
yes you can drill out the stock seals too.
|
Re:DSM injector seals, NAPA kit question
yes you could drill out your stock ones BUT... Think of this depending on the year of your motor the seal have been in there how long???? They dry get brittle crack ect. :o if your going to do it do it right if you just want the green seal go to the dealer and buy them.

Re:DSM injector seals, NAPA kit question
this injector seal kit. what car specifically was it for.
is this like a universal kit? |
Re:DSM injector seals, NAPA kit question
it's for civics. i wouldn't use the black manifold seal since it is shorter and will leave the dsm sitting too low in the rail and not getting as good of a spray pattern. using the green one will leave the pintile in the same position in the rail since the dsm inj is slightly longer on that end. you'll just need to dremel out the inside of the seal. be sure to replace the rail seal on top of the inj too since you have it...you don't want a old/bad seal causing a fuel leak and fire.
