dsm injector question
I starting a homemade turbo projct and need some help, I want to use the dsm 450cc I would also need the resister box right? I have a buddy that says he can tune the ecu to work with these injectors without using a FMU or some type of controller, is this true? he is good, and has done many N/A cars but none with forced induction. is there any suggestions you can give us.
thanks, V-MAN forgot to mention: D16Z6 with a p28 ecu 14b turbo |
Re:dsm injector question
Are you referring to "chipping" the ecu, where as the car is running off different maps for compensation of the turbo and injectors, and timing? Essentially the same thing when you buy a zdyne or hondata ecu for big money. Check out the engine management forum of this website, look into TurboEdit and Uberdata.. please read all info on Jason's forum before posting (he likes to keep his cave clean :P)
What is the car in question here? Please give more specifics, if it's OBD2, you will have to retrofit it to OBD1 to "tune" it. |
Re:dsm injector question
it is a OBD I p28 ecu, and we wanted to "chip" it yes
|
Re:dsm injector question
yes he can tune fine if the ecu is chipped.
all you need is the resistor box, and 450cc injectors. your car might already have the resistor box depending on year. |
Re:dsm injector question
I'll need to get one cause mine is a 94 civic si, thanks for the tips you guy a great!!

Re:dsm injector question
Then yes it is possible, I believe Uberdata will work for OBD1
|
Re:dsm injector question
yup...just chip your ECU, run uberdata, and install the injectors with a resistor box or inline resistors.
