dsm bov piping

Alright, so the intercooler pipe that i have is 2.5" and was wondering if it would be a problem if i cut the pipe and clamped the dsm pipe in between the 2.5" pipe. I don't have a welder and don't want to weld on a flange. Will it be a problem for the air to travel down a 2.5" pipe into a 2" pipe and then out to the 2.5" pipe before the throttle body?

It doesnt sound too bad.. i dunno.. i just finish my first setup.. i have 2.5 pipe then like 2" ghetto ass "spa" pipe that goes into my lil side mount ic thats in the place of my old a/c radiator thing.... so it looks stock.. then i have a like hella small like 1.5" pipe that perfectly matches the cold side of the turbo.. SOunds ghetto but ya today we just got our pipe bender so i will finish it later.. but it feels like it spools great.... but i also am just happy im boosted...

Cant you cut out the BOV, put a hole in the 2.5 intake, then jbweld the fucker in? you dont want bottle necks.

Re: dsm bov piping

Why not order a flange from BMC etc and just JB weld it to a small piece of pipe and then JB weld it to the charge pipe.JB weld works great for this type of thing.

Why order a flange when he already has one? I cut the flange off the stock J-pipe and welded it onto a 2.5" steel pipe.

Re: dsm bov piping

I would like to have it welded, but since i already have everything i needed i just want to put it on and not waste more money on another flange. Is JB weld really that good? I see members on here using it like crazy on everything....i mean everything...oil pan, charge pipes, engine block. Will JB weld be able to hold the pressure?

Yes it will hold the pressure. Just go to your local exhaust shop though and have them weld it up if you can. I did the same thing and they charged me $5.

Re: dsm bov piping

what were saying is that you can go get a tube of jb weld and do it, or get it done better at an exaust shop for the same price. your call.

Werd, thats exactly what I did. Welded that bitch on some 2.5 piping then reenforced it with some JB.
