Default DSM BOV not responding correctly?

I think it sounds great while im driving but when i rev it in neutral it doesnt do ----. is this natural? i have only been boosted for a week now.

yeah you need load to build boost but i can build about 9-10psi off the rev limiter in my car

funny, thats what i thought but my friend has a wrx and all he has to do it rev it a little while hes parked and its loud as ---- (RFL BOV)thats why i asked.

that's because it's a bigger displacement motor with a tiny turbo

with my small turbo i can create full boost on my launch controler =)

I can make 15psi in standstill using spark retard and round robin spark cut

Why does the car need load to make boost?
