dsm bov, 1g vs 2g ??
Ok,
i wana get a 2g due to it being cheap is this a really bad idea? so far, it looks like its just cheap cuz its plastic, and the 1g is metal. now my question is, is there something more? why is the 1g so much more sought after than the 2g? cant I just place it in a place where it wont melt, and it'll be exactly the same right? or am I wrong? thanks |
Re:dsm bov, 1g vs 2g ??
1g holds more boost if you running high boost
|
Re:dsm bov, 1g vs 2g ??
2gens are cheap plastic and tend to leak, but that my just be at 'high' boost (DSM guys push 20-25 psi). i wouldnt wirry about it too much...

Re:dsm bov, 1g vs 2g ??
the 2g will leak around 10psi or more...some are different
|
Re:dsm bov, 1g vs 2g ??
hmm, ok.
well i'm planning 6-7psi at first. if everything running good, and I get more money coming in, i'd probly go hondata, and up to like 10-11psi... but if that happened.. i probly wouldnt care about shelling out an extra 30bux for a new bov, haha do you really think it would leak at 10psi? that would mean they leak on stock dsm's wouldnt it, that doesnt sound right |
Re:dsm bov, 1g vs 2g ??
they do leak on stock dsm's thats why people upgrade...some leak worse than others though....you should be fine using one

Re:dsm bov, 1g vs 2g ??
