1g bov here. it's very quiet. Id imagine itd get annoying if i had a loud bov.

I got a volvo bov and I can't hear it at all. sure I don't have a turbo, but I want to pretend and it won't let me.

i have one in my civic, it doesn't have that lound pich sound like those greddy's or hks ones. but u can here it alright. sounds like when u pump air in the tire with the hose open. But I heard you can do somthin too those 1st gen metal bov to make it sound high pich. I think u crush it or somthin. anyone?

just what exactly are the crush 1st gen dsm sounds like? and how do I do that to my bov? anyone?

With a rubber mallet they tap on top of the valve down about 3 or 4 millimeters. I would think they sound the same. The reason they do it so you dont loose boost at higher boost levels. It increases the spring tension on the diaphragm. As far as the sound it sound like when you unplug an airtool from an airline.
