That's an awesome idea. How about instead of spending 2 minutes posting, and then 30 waiting for an answer, get off your fat ass and call Advance or Autozone.

Give advice worth a ----? I thought I did.

Ooooh, Im sorry was I supposed to call around FOR YOU?

No, Advance and Autozone probably don't sell the BOV's you will have to call the ----------ing DEALERSHIP.

If you would post your location I'm sure someone here would be glad to find the nearest dealership in your area, call them then get back to you with the part # as soon as possible. Thanks and have a great day!

Autozone or advanced won't carry them. Maybe the gaskets, but that's about it. Some parts stores can get the Bosch bov's, but they're junk. Call a dealer, but even then i don't think it's worth it. Junkyard's are your friend in this case, or ebay.

I would suggest going to an auto recycler, or buy one off of a DSM owner. Just make sure it's from a first gen DSM. I bought mine for $20.

Re: dsm blow off valve

this forum is like the prison of automotive forums. It's all cut-throat and ---- and people are always getting buttfucked. :l

Anyways..I doubt they still make brand new bypass valves for a car that old. Why the hell would you want a brand new one anyways? :3

Re: dsm blow off valve

the mitsubishi dealer does still carry parts for 1st gen dsm. i went in looking for oil and coolant fittings for my 14b and they had them in stock. as far as the bov, youd have go there and ask for yourself. they may not even know what a bov is, so the part # is very helpfull

Re: dsm blow off valve

Go stand in your local "hot" friday night parking lot and look for dsm's letting off aftermarket bovs....then go ask them what they did with the oem one...

.......or........call the dealership.
