Re:dsm 450cc

Re:dsm 450cc

from my understanding, and a few of my buddies who run em, they work fine, but if you're running OBD II, you need to use resistors on em, or you'll throw a CE light

turboDA6 12-25-2004 04:04 PM

Re:dsm 450cc

u need to use resistors on them even in obd1...

Paul99EX 12-25-2004 04:07 PM

Re:dsm 450cc

then it must be OBD 0, cuz honda tuning used em on thier budget boost project without resistors....

Re:dsm 450cc

Thats because some obd0 hondas came with resistor boxes.

Re:dsm 450cc

If you run them in OBDII like me you need to change to OBDI injector clips. They run great in my car.

Re:dsm 450cc

I hooked them right up in my accord...since I already had a resistor built in ;D. The injectors work perfectly if you install them correctly 8)

Re:dsm 450cc

Ya know on second thought your friends are just ------- stupid. Please don't let them work on your car or anyone elses.

Re:dsm 450cc

i would never pay $250+ for injectors, wtf

Re:dsm 450cc

Sure they'll screw your car up... if you don't install them properly. there's been tons of writeups on it, so follow them and you'll be just fine. I'd bet 95% of us at HMT are running 450's successfully.

Re:dsm 450cc

when people tell you they are gona ---- you car up, ask "why?" like your friends ------- know ----, if they knew ----, they'd know the injectors work fine.(their used in stock cars for christ sake)

Re:dsm 450cc

you already have the resistor box, so you wont need to do anything other than boring out the grommets just a tad so they squeeze in. Other than that, its pretty much plug and play.

btw, dsm 450s are good for about 300whp.

Re:dsm 450cc

wut the hell are the grommets and how should i bore them machine shop or can i do it on my own

Re:dsm 450cc

https://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_p...ors/index.html

its very simple, just a small die grinder and remove just a little bit of rubber from the stock grommets. The dsm injector will slide right in like a black man ------- an asian girls ass.
