Re:Drilling the oil pan?
Also will a 2000Si Fuel Pump hook up to my 96 civic i think it will but not sure?
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
you have to drill the pan
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
T off the oil pressure switch with a T fitting adapter
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
i think hes talking about the return
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
depending on the car oil pressure switch i am sure
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
what?....yes, for the feed.......but hes asking about the return
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
you can get a adapter or spacer for the oil filter and tap into that for return
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
how?...its higher than the turbo isnt it?...enlighten me that would be cool
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
oil pressure
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
yes, but the pressure isnt constant throughout the engine, thats why the return faces down
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
well you have a point time to tap the oil pan
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
thanks both of you confused the ---- out of me.
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
DRILL THE OIL PAN...did that simplify it? its easy and takes no time at all
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
LOL
To sum it up.. Drill the oil pan for the oil return. Tap the oil pressure switch for the oil feed. |
Re:Drilling the oil pan?

For oil return you need to drill a hole in the upper section of the oil pan, You can put a brass fitting, steel fitting, or whatever. Some people thread the fittings in, and just gobber it up with silicone, or you can braze/weld them in. https://www.homemadeturbo.com/turbo_...il-pan_2_P.jpg Drill a hole https://www.homemadeturbo.com/turbo_...il-pan_1_P.jpg Braze the fitting in.. Or https://www.homemadeturbo.com/turbo/t1/leo/oilpan.jpg Drill the hole, and kinda thread it in, and gobber it up with some silicone. The fiting needs to be above the oil level, since it is gravity feed. Jeff |
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
huh not really daily driver, building up extra engine ;D
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
thank you jeff
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?

|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
just drill where it lines up with your return, above the oil level

Re:Drilling the oil pan?
golden eagle mfg is suppose to be coming up with something like that. i saw pics of alot of new stuff there suppose to be coming out with on honda tech
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
well shortyz i think you need more info on the car about the adapter that is coming out, oil filter recycles the oil right well, think about how that works
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
yea but i cant see it working for a return since there is pressure there
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
In the may issue of HCI there is alot of stuff about turbos, including a install on a focus. In that story they say that the focus has a drain plug on the back of the block with served as the install point for a elbow for the oil supply line. Do the Honda engines have this kind of drain bolt?
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
hmmm shortyz is right...you can't use that for a return line You can use is for oil feed though. Return line is gravity fed the oil goes down from the turbo and that's why you have to return it to the oilpan....
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
I agree that the oil return line is gravity feed but why do i see so many installs with the oil return over the head, or is that the supply line? :'(
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
Yup supply line if you want to call it like that.
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
have anyone put the return line on the shallow part of a b16? ii want to put it there to clear the down pipe. so it wont melt or anything? any pics please post!!
thanks in advance! |
Re:Drilling the oil pan?

Re:Drilling the oil pan?
i was asking for the shallow part!
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
how about a seperate oil resivior and a small electric oil pump that would do if you dont want to tap your oil pan
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
^ i guess now is the time to ask WHY THE ---- WOULD U DO THAT?
|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?

|
Re:Drilling the oil pan?
